Since the establishment of this educational institution, physical training has been one of the most important components in the training of future police officers. Sambo wrestling as an applied sport has been an integral part of the education of cadets for many years of the formation of the current Academy. This year, in connection with the anniversary of the Academy, a number of sports events are held at the University, including sports and combat sambo. At the opening of the championship, the head of the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh.Kabylbayeva, Police Colonel M.After greeting the participants, Kyzylov noted the importance of sports and combat sambo in the future professional activity of the cadet. Head of the State Institution "Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city AkimatKostanay" N.Ermagambetov presented a letter of thanks to the head of the Academy, Police Colonel M.To Kyzylova for promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, for his contribution to the development and support of SAMBO wrestling in the Kostanay region. Also, a letter of thanks was awarded to V.Tashlykov, a veteran of the Academy and Sports, the USSR Navy in classical and freestyle wrestling, for high achievements in sports. • Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Master of Sports of the USSR, honorary professor of KSPI Sarsenbayev Olzhabai Kazgalievich.
• Anatoly Ivanovich Veklich is a veteran of sports, multiple World Championship champion and medalist, Master of Sports of International class.
• A veteran of sports, two-time silver medalist of the World Sambo Wrestling Championship among the masters of Kustavlet Begaidar Akhmetbekovich.
• Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Master of Sports of the USSR, winner of the World Sambo Championship Aubakirov Beysenbai Baysagizovich.
• Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, senior wrestling coach of Kostanay region kazak kuresi Kasymkhanov Zhumakan Nurkanovich.

According to the results of the championship, the regional team was determined to participate in the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Atyrau, which included the following cadets of the Academikudirbekov Bolat 1st year, Gilmidenov Nurzhan 2nd year, Arinov Sayat, Zaki Eldar, Serikov Daulet, Karimov Ruslan, Japakov Sanzhar 3rd year, who were prepared by the staff of the Department of BiFP R.Tankibaev, E.Kabidullinov, B.Utenov, A.Akilbekov. Vladimir Semyonovich Tashlykov, a veteran of the Academy, established 2 cups for the best fighting technique, one of which was awarded to 3rd year cadet Arinov Sayat. More than 200 athletes from 17 teams took part in the championship.
