In the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this year has been declared the year for improving the quality of personnel and, in this regard, a great role is assigned to the effective work of the Veterans Council and the Council of Mentors. According to the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Lieutenant General Sadenov E.S., "Knowledge, wisdom and rich life experience of veterans are more important today than ever for the patriotic education of young officers." With words of gratitude from the head of the Academy, Police Major General Akynkali Darmenov, an expanded meeting of the Council of Veterans and the Council of Mentors began. He noted that the path of formation of the educational institution – from the police training center to the Academy - was successfully completed thanks to the work and perseverance of employees who worked here over the years. Great interest was aroused by the promising development plan of the Academy presented by Akyngali Dautbayevich: from the creation of a regional hub to the design of sports uniforms for Academy cadets - all this will help the educational institution become a flagship in departmental education. During the meeting, the directions of work of the Council of Veterans and the Council of Mentors of the Academy were determined: social support for veterans, patriotic education of officers and cadets, transfer of experience and mentoring, legal protection of police officers, cultural and educational activities – these are many components of the activities of veteran organizations. The veterans expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Kostanay Academy for organizing the meeting, the opportunity to share their vision of the development of the educational institution and the further opportunity to participate in the education of the younger generation.
