As long as we remember, they are alive!
A "Bike and Walking run" was held in Victory Park, dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the 151st separate Rifle Brigade, formed in the Kostanay region in December 1941, being sent to the front. Lieutenant Colonel Leonid Yakovlev was appointed commander. The officers consisted of graduates of military schools, and privates and sergeants were drafted from Kazakhstan, Siberia and the Southern Urals. The start was given from the building of the City School of Children's Creativity (the former Palace of Pioneers) — it was from here that in 1942 the brigade soldiers left to defend their Homeland. The cadets and the leadership of the Academy took an active part in the commemorative run, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the heroic pages of our history.
