On the eve of the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, an Open Day was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev together with the City Council of Veterans, which was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and the Academy! The Academy takes an active part in the patriotic education of young people. Holding an Open Day and meetings with veterans is an invaluable experience in educating and developing a future police officer, a socially active citizen and a patriot.
The Kazakh police is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This is a service for the benefit of the people and the state! The task of our educational institution is to train future employees of the internal affairs bodies who are able to give a worthy rebuff to any manifestations of crime.
And this meeting is not just a tribute to the memory of the dead and gratitude to the representatives of the older generation, who with their military and labor exploits in The war years and the post-war period made a significant contribution to the consolidation of our independence, gained national respect and became an example for posterity. This is the continuity of generations, honor and care for veterans.
A solemn event honoring veterans has begun on the Academy's parade ground. The head of the Academy, Police Colonel Kyzylov M.A., in his address to veterans, noted that our educational institution, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev, was given a high honor and trust to receive veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers! Calling this victory Great, we pay tribute to the great feat of our people, the irresistible strength of spirit with which our people defended their right to free, independent development, the right to live, raise children and grandchildren. The study of the heroic past of our country, strengthening the atmosphere of friendship, peace and harmony are aimed at forming among the cadets a sense of pride for our Homeland - the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Kostanay Haryakov Yu.A. in his speech noted that veterans, despite their advanced age, actively conduct patriotic work with young people. We are eternally grateful to them for being in the ranks today, for the invaluable experience they generously share with the younger generation, for their friendly advice and worldly wisdom.
25 veterans of Kostanay, without restraining emotions, greeted the formation of cadets on the podium. The performance of the National Anthem, the Anthem of the Academy, the passage of the solemn march, the demonstration performances of the combined squad and athletes, caused a lively discussion among veterans. The cadets demonstrated techniques and skills of using special protective equipment in conditions of mass riots and other emergency situations. The demonstration performances of the winners of international, republican, regional and city competitions in various types of wrestling: hand-to-hand combat, freestyle wrestling, taekwondo, etc. were received with a special feeling. The physical fitness of the cadets allows them to reach great heights on the sports Olympus of our Homeland.
Flowers were laid at the monument of the legendary Lieutenant General of the internal service Shrakbek Kabylbayev, and a visit to the Academy museum took place.
A meeting of veterans with freshmen took place in the assembly hall of the Academy in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. Participants of the Great Patriotic War Podolyakov M.I., Naprienko D.P., Treletsky G.N., Nikolenko G.F. shared their memories of participating in hostilities and restoring the destroyed economy.
Today we bow our heads before the names of those who defended peace on earth. We, the heirs of the victorious generation, promise to preserve the peace for which veterans gave their lives.
