2017 is especially significant for the police Department staff. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Kazakh police. On the eve of the anniversary date, the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev holds a professional skills competition among cadets of the 1-3 courses of the faculty of full-time education.

The purpose of this competition is to determine the quality and level of professional training of cadets for service in the Department of Internal Affairs, improve the skills of a future law enforcement officer, identify the best, increase the interest of personnel in the constant study and dissemination of best practices.

On April 24, 2017, the Academy sports complex hosted the grand opening of the professional skills competition among cadets of the full-time faculty. The event was opened by the Deputy head of the Academy, Police Colonel S. N. Bachurin. In his speech, he welcomed the participants of the competition and wished them successful completion of all stages and victories.

Cadets who have shown the best results in physical, fire training and studies, who do not have violations of official discipline, are allowed to participate in the competition.

The competition is held in three stages:

1. Passing standards for physical training.
2. Performing fire training exercises.
3. Theoretical and practical training of contestants in basic and core disciplines:

stage 1 – solving test tasks;

2 stage – solving practical tasks and applied tasks

Based on the results of the three stages, on May 3, 2017, the results will be summarized and the best of the best in each course in three specialties will be selected: "Law enforcement", "Pedagogy and Psychology", "Social work". The announcement of the results of the competition and the awarding of the winners will take place at a solemn event dedicated to the "Defender of the Fatherland Day".
