Seminar for teachers

A seminar for teachers on the topic was held at the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: "Human rights and freedoms in the activities of the police of the Republic of Kazakhstan", organized by the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law. The event was supported by the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the project "Improving the level of human rights protection by law enforcement officers through the introduction of a human rights training course into the curriculum of the academies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan", as well as financial support from the Canadian Foundation for Local Initiatives of the Canadian Embassy in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The seminar discussed the main aspects of human rights and freedoms, effective approaches to training police officers to protect the fundamental rights of citizens, using real examples from police practice and many others.
