On the third day of the review mission, with the participation of the UNODC international probation expert, a round table was held at the Kostanay Academy on the topic: "Social reintegration of convicts after release, including those convicted of extremist and terrorist crimes in the Kostanay region: problems and prospects." At the event, an exchange of views took place on the training of probation officers and district police officers, and the experience of Latvia's work on the social reintegration of convicts was reviewed. Representatives of government agencies took part in the round table organized by the Center for Training Specialists of the UIS Kostanay Academy. The round table was held within the framework of the program "Supervision and probation of those convicted of extremist and terrorist crimes, including foreign terrorist fighters after release from prison," with financial support from the Counterterrorism Bureau, the U.S. Department of State.
