"The police are within walking distance"

In pursuance of the instruction of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the introduction of a service model of police activity focused on the principle of "police within walking distance", under the leadership of the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Sadenov, on September 1 — Knowledge Day — a large-scale action was held throughout the country, during which police officers visited all secondary schools. The main idea of this campaign is that safety begins with schools. The leadership and staff of the Kostanay Academy actively supported this initiative and visited a number of schools in the city of Kostanay and the Kostanay region. The police not only congratulated the children on the start of the school year, but also told them about their daily service in the police, explained the rights and duties of schoolchildren in a form accessible to children, which is especially important for forming a responsible attitude to rules and laws. Moreover, the police handed out coloring books according to the rules of the road and helped the children to color them. Such events play an important role in building trust in law enforcement agencies and creating a safe educational environment for children.
