A unique training for trainers

Today, the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosts the first day of a unique training for trainers dedicated to dynamic security, collecting operational information and working with those convicted of extremist and terrorist crimes. The head of the Kostanay Academy, Major General of the police Akynkali Darmenov, made a welcoming speech. The seminar was organized to improve the skills of specialists working in the penitentiary system in order to prevent and counter radicalization that generates violence, as well as recruitment attempts in places of detention. The training was facilitated by Dr. Shane Bryans, an expert from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), who will share his extensive experience and knowledge in this field. The participants were able not only to deepen their knowledge, but also to share experiences with colleagues, which contributes to creating a safer and more effective environment in penitentiary institutions.
