Pedagogical skills

Conducting unusual classes on the development of public speaking with 1st year undergraduates in the framework of the discipline "Pedagogical skills", organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Kabylbayev, have become traditional. The first lesson with the participation of the famous TV presenter of the regional TV station "QOSTANAI" Akbot Duysenbai was conducted last academic year by senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kostanay Academy, Senior Lieutenant Almat Orazov. The point of the lesson is that students do not know until the last moment that they are going to an interview with a real journalist. The experiment showed that its participants concentrate better in an unexpected environment and acquire public speaking skills. At the end of the lesson, all participants received feedback from experts and learned about their strengths and those aspects that they should still work on.
