On March 11, 2024, a round table on the topic "Therapeutic program and prison protocol" was held in Almaty, organized under the auspices of the CADAP 7 drug Distribution prevention program in Central Asia. Police Lieutenant Colonel Anara Ualieva, senior lecturer at the Department of UIP, took part in its work. At this event, information was provided by the experts of the Acceptance organization (Germany), Ms. Katarzyna Kinga Kowalczyk and Ms. Ulla Pape on the European experience in working with drug addicts of civil society. The issue of the possibility of developing partnerships with civil society, respect for the rights of drug addicts held in penitentiary institutions was also discussed. At the end of the event, the participants of the round table exchanged their experience of working with vulnerable segments of the population, and a number of measures for interaction and development of work with drug addicts were also proposed.
